Check Out the J Wall 1, John Wall's First Signature Shoe From adidas

adidas will release its first John Wall signature sneaker on Halloween. See photos of the shoe at STACK.com.

John Wall and signature shoes have had a complicated relationship. When the former Kentucky Wildcat was drafted first overall by the Washington Wizards in 2010, he signed a $25 million endorsement deal with Reebok. The brand quickly moved to give Wall his first signature kicks, incorporating its now largely forgotten "Zig" technology. The sneaker met with mostly negative reactions, as did the second and third editions, which continued to feature Zig. Dissatisfied, Wall left Reebok and sprang for adidas in 2013 to start over.

adidas recently released images of the J Wall 1, Wall's first signature sneaker with the brand. There is no Zig technology here. adidas opted for adiPRENE+ cushioning in the midsole and FITFRAME technology, which provides a more "controlled surface" for Wall to plant on as he breaks defenders' ankles with his famous crossover. The upper is made of an air mesh textile and is equipped with rib-stop overlays for durability.

The shoe also features a new Wall logo on the tongue, a cross between a "J" and a "W" (see the photos below). The outsole sports a map of the United States mixed with the word "Wall."

The J Wall 1 will be out on Halloween in two colorways, "Home" and "Black," for $115. Check out more photos below.
